Laser Tracker Operator
Uni-Fab, a global provider in custom fabrication of aluminum, steel and stainless-steel products has an opening for a Laser Tracker Operator.
The Laser Tracker Operator is responsible for supporting the production team by ensuring customer quality standards are met.
Job Duties
· Evaluate whether parts comply with customer documentation, specifications, CAD models and dimensions for fit, form, function
· Development of Laser Tracker programs, and operation, using Poly Works Software to ensure accurate measurement of parts.
· Identify possible areas of non-conformance in process for internal rework or NCR (Non-Conformance Reporting) when required.
· Generate FAI (First Article Inspection) reports, including bubble drawings and measurements
· Generate measurement reports for final inspection
Requirements
· Experience with Leica laser tracker, CMM, laser scanners or other measuring arm an asset
· Three years’ experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
· Three years’ practical work experience in the application of geometric tolerances
· Three years’ practical work experience with CAD modeling (Poly Works experience would be considered an asset)
· Knowledge of tolerance stack up’s is an asset
· Working knowledge of the use of inspection tools, including Verniers, Micrometers, Height gauges, Feeler gauges, and Go/No-Go gauges
· Practical experience in performing in-process and final inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
· Strong working knowledge of various computer software applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
· Strong organizational and time management skills
