The Quality Assurance Manager holds a vital role in all stages of the manufacturing process and customer relations.
They work closely with all departments to identify quality gaps, determine the cause and implement corrective actions. About the Role
Quality Control Dept.
Lead Quality Assurance inspection functions and identify areas for continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
Provide support to various departments through active monitoring of work activities, coaching, feedback and performance management.
Collaborate preventative measures with other departments and ensure that they are carried out.
Organize the production and record keeping of quality and related reports, including Material Certificates and welding certificates.
Work closely with all departments to identify what the error is, determine root cause and implement corrective action.
Provide management with regular updates as to customer's complaints and rejections and internal rework cost.
Direct contact for company operations related specifically to the ISO program, inspections and compliance.
Review policies and procedures to ensure requirements are being met consistently.

Experience with ISO 9001 based quality systems/process and/or quality documentation management.
Six Sigma Lean/5S Methodology certificates an asset.
A thorough understanding of quality systems including record retention, document control, non-conforming material, corrective action, preventative action and internal audits.
Experience in an industrial fabrication, assembly and paint shop environment including strong welding, bending, machining and paint technique knowledge.
Attention to details, organizing and prioritizing and the ability to consistently produce high quality work consistently.
Problem solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with all types of staff and clients; including technical, professional and upper management.
Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic and conflict resolution skills.
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be safety focused, a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well within all levels of a fast-paced organization.
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering 3+ years Management experience.
Education, training and/or experience in a quality related field.
Working Conditions Monday-Friday, 48 hours per week. Saturday as needed.
Some travel may be required.
Personal protective is equipment required.
