CNC Programmer/Operator - Afternoon

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Job Duties

  • Program and operate a Toshiba MPJ-3660 Machine using Fusion 360 software (will train on software) and Fanuc controller with touch probe and W-Axis.
  • Program and operate a Promac Sharav CNC Machine using Fusion 360 software (will train on software) and Heidenhain TNC 640 controller with touch probe
  • Read and properly interpret machining blueprints, make parts to dimensions and tolerances provided.
  • Understand, select and program various types of tooling based on part geometry and requirements.
  • Determine, set up and simulate with suitable fixturing for proper part support and accessibility
  • Understand and effectively level, shim and support weldments during machining operations as required
  • Use crane to setup large weldments (up to 15,000lb) safe and effectively, crane training provided

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years manual machining experience
  • 3-5 years blueprint reading and GD&T experience
  • Boring Mill experience an asset
  • 1-3 years 3+1 axis or 5-axis CNC programming/operating experience
  • Flexible, courteous, friendly and positive approach
  • Able to work steady afternoon shift
